Ever since I heard that Ender’s Game was to become a movie, I knew that I would never see it. At least, not in such a way that I would spend dollars to watch it.
I have already read the book, and I have a few other books by Orson Scott Card. This was all before I learned that his mind was a toxic maelstrom of intolerance and bigotry. The difficult thing about all of this for me is that Ender’s Game is a really good book. I’m sure the movie will probably be really good too. Chuck Wendig does a good job describing why he will be boycotting the movie, and it pretty much jives with my reasoning too. And, of course, Chuck says it better than most of us can. So I encourage you to read his post by clicking the link at the beginning of my post.
