I’m on the way to Houston to see my sweetie, waiting at my gate, and it’s strange to think how normal it felt to shuffle through the security theater.

Everyone goes through the motions. Do we even remember why we take shoes off anymore? Are they truly a threat? The x-rays scattered all over me, but I think a security agent looked at my face only once (as he was holding my ID).

Perhaps other eyes were on me that I wasn’t aware of. Can’t be sure. Is this all to just make me feel safe? It doesn’t. Perhaps all it does is deter. Or make criminals more creative.

I don’t know if I have a point. This is just reality right now. Oh well. Time to board!
